Jennifer & Aaron’s Dunadry Hotel Wedding
In the gallery below is the wedding album layout for the Dunadry Hotel Wedding of Jennifer & Aaron.
Do you remember the weekend the so-called “Beast from the East” met “Storm Emma”? The first weekend in March 2018 – well, this wedding happened then! And it was sooooo cold!!!
With Amber weather warnings in place and the day to forecast to be the coldest March day in decades, I headed off to the Church, Lylehill Presbyterian, near Templepatrick. As the name suggests, the church is located at the top of a hill! And the wind was bitter as guests hurried from their cars to the warmth and shelter of the church.
It was just too cold to stand outside so all the photographs had to be taken in the church hallway – luckily it was a large enough space.
After the service, we headed down to the Dunadry Hotel – and it just happened to be the very first wedding reception held in the newly refurbished Ballroom at The Dunadry.
I was prepared to shoot all the photographs indoors and suggested this to Jennifer – she was having none of it!! Even though it was bitterly cold, she wanted to take advantage of the beautiful gardens at the Dunadry Hotel.
We managed to get a great selection of outdoor pictures with the couple before heading back into the hotel where I set up a mini-studio to shoot the family and bridal party pictures.
I set up a few shots around the open fire (most welcome!) and the stunning staircase which dominates the reception area at the Dunadry Hotel.
It was then into the Ballroom for the Wedding reception and speeches – the ballroom looks fantastic – although my only criticism of it is the lack of natural light – us photographers love natural light!!
I think the album layout below illustrates that you don’t need perfect weather to get stunning wedding pictures – bad weather is no excuse for bad photographs!!
Each image in the gallery represents a double-page spread of the album.
Many thanks to Jennifer & Aaron for letting me share their wedding day.
